Beginner Horsemanship Classes

What ages and experience level is needed?

The beginner horsemanship classes welcome ages 6 and up. These classes are open from beginner to intermediate riders.

What will we do?

We will cover our barn rules, safety of being around and handling horses, and what all goes into their daily care. We will also go over the basics of riding and ground working our horses. Each student will have the chance to groom and ride one of our lesson horses. Additionally, there will be a craft to complete.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring a sack lunch and something to drink. We require boots with a stepped heel to ride (we have a closet full of boots you may borrow for the day) and long pants are highly recommended. If you have a riding helmet please bring that as well, this is not the same as a bike helmet (we can provide if needed).

When are classes?

We offer four classes from 10am to 2pm on June 29th (FULL), July 13th (FULL), July 27th (FULL), or August 10th (FULL). You are welcome to sign up for as many as you would like. We are currently working on adding more classes to accommodate the interest.

How much does it cost?

Each class requires a $50 non-refundable deposit when signing up, with a balance of $50 due the day of the class or before.

You can sign up for our classes by email, phone, or stopping in during business hours. We ask that you kindly fill out the form below. We will forward you additional information and paperwork that needs to be completed.

All Summer classes are full, however we are working on a fall and spring session for the academic year.
